Weddings are one of the last sacred rituals.

We live in a society where lives are stratified—schools separate us by age, careers measure us by speed, and achievement is expected early. Rarely do our generations gather in one room, in one moment, as equals.

But weddings are different.

They remain one of the few rituals in the Western world where a great-grandparent and a newborn can sit at the same table—where time folds in on itself and lineage becomes visible. That alone makes them sacred.

And that’s why I photograph not just the couple, but the constellation around them. The shared glances, the generational echoes, the quiet presence of those who came before—and those just arriving.
